WHAT TO EXPECT
The Channels tab on the Settings page allows users to create and remove channels from wXcked Eye. In addition, users can add and remove converters, which connect streams together to form a Channel.
Navigating to the Channels tab
The Channels tab is located in the Settings page on wXcked Eye. To learn how to navigate there, users should review the wXcked Eye System Management article.
Channels tab view:

Channels are a pipeline of streams with a converter between each of them. This setup allows users to articulate their particular workflow for their content. Using one of the channels above, a broadcaster for one particular TV Channel could have 4 steps where the initial stream changes to a new stream as it is enhanced or changed during processing of that channel. In this example, there are 4 times the stream is enhanced or changed during the process.
Starts with an initial stream from an encoder
Tachyon Live then takes in the stream and up- or down-converts it from PAL to NTSC, or somehow enhances the video and outputs a new stream.
A graphics product enhances the stream by adding graphics and then outputs a new stream.
Finally, a playout system enhances the video by adding commercials or ads and puts out a new stream that actually gets played out.
On this page, a user will learn how to Create Channels from a list of available streams, Edit Channels, Remove Channels and adding converters that connect them using the example above.

The Channels page is organized into the following functions:
Creating Channel
Click Create above the Channels section. A new window will open.

Assign a name to the new Channel.

Select the streams to be added to the Channel configuration from the Available streams list based on the order of your processing. As you select, they will be added with a converter between the selections.

Alternatively, select New Stream to add a new stream to the list. This will open a new window where the user can name and assign a color to a Stream IP.
Edit the converter that links each stream by selecting the notepad by the placeholder.

Select an existing converter from the dropdown menu.
Alternatively, select Create a new converter placeholder and name it.

Please note: wXcked Eye does not create these converters. This feature only allows users to name the existing converters in their network that will connect these streams.
Click Create. A new Channel will appear.
wXcked Eye will automatically assign an ID to the Channel. These channel configurations will carry throughout the UI. Users can edit or remove the channel using the action buttons on the right-hand side.
