How to Add, Edit Label and Remove Destinations

WHAT TO EXPECT

In this article, users will learn how to add, edit the label of, and remove destinations for a groundSwXtch. Add sources first: the list of destinations is built from the existing sources, and a destination can then be added to one or more groundSwXtches.

NOTE

If Dynamic is enabled, destinations don't need to be added; they are detected automatically when an IGMP join occurs. Refer to Using groundSwXtch User Interface - What is Static vs Dynamic? for more information.

Add Destination

To add a destination:

1. Select the Add Destination icon. It is on the main map, and also in the groundSwXtch details pane (click the groundSwXtch on the map). When opened from the details pane, the groundSwXtch drop-down isn't shown because the groundSwXtch is already selected. The image below shows both options.

   

2. A drop-down lists the sources and the groundSwXtch each one is on.

   

3. Select the multicast group for the destination.

   

4. Select Add.

5. The destination is added. If it is running and reachable by the groundSwXtch, it shows traffic.

Edit Destination Label

To edit a destination label:

1. Click the groundSwXtch to open the groundSwXtch details pane.

2. Select the pencil (edit) button next to the destination.

   

3. The edit menu opens. Change the label.

4. Select Save.

Remove Destination

To remove a destination:

1. Click the groundSwXtch the destination belongs to, to open the groundSwXtch details pane.

2. Select the x button next to the destination.

   

3. Select Yes to confirm, or No to cancel.

   

4. The destination is removed.
