WHAT TO EXPECT
In this section, users will learn how to delete a cloudSwXtch from their AWS environment.
Prior to deleting a cloudSwXtch, it is advised to uninstall any xNICs and swXtchBridge using it. See the xNIC Installation page and Install swXtchBridge page, look for the uninstallation section based on your OSs.
PLEASE NOTE
The uninstallation for the xNIC or the swXtchBridge needs the installation script. If the script is not stored on the agent and the cloudSwXtch is not available to download it, there’s no simple way to get the script.
The default behavior is to not store the script on the instace. So to uninstall the component it’s necessary either to have the script or that the cloudSwXtch is available.
It is important to note that since the cloudSwXtch was created using a Stack, users do not want to just delete the EC2 instance by itself. Rather, it should be deleted the Stack as a whole, which will also delete all associated resources, unless the resources must be kept for other uses.
PLEASE NOTE
If resoureces were manually created after the cloudSwXtch, and then deleted the stack, the new resources will not be deleted and can lead to a failure trying to finish the deletion.
To delete a cloudSwXtch:
Navigate to the cloud stack: “Cloud Formation → Stacks”

Select the stack to delete.
Click "Delete" and then confirm on the pop-up window.
Refresh the stacks by clicking on the refresh button of the Stack list (⟳) after a minute or so to confirm the stack has been deleted.
