WHAT TO EXPECT

In this article, users will learn what Flows are and how to view, add, edit, and remove them.

Navigating to the Tags tab

The Flows tab is located in the System Management page on wXcked Eye. To learn how to navigate there, please review the wXcked Eye System Management article.

The Flows tab allows users to create, edit, or delete one source to many destinations for SRT, RIST, and/or UDP. Each source and destination set will create a flow in this page as well as each source and destination will be added as a Instance in “Adaptors”.

Key Capabilities

  • Supported Protocols: Multicast, UDP, SRT, and RIST.

  • Core Function: One-to-many replication and real-time protocol conversion.

  • Management: Configured via wXcked Eye (System Management —> Flows tab).

  • Easily configure multiple destinations to one source using a range of ports, or create one using a single port.

  • Configure one or more flows for different swXtch(s) in the same user interface without having to go to another URL for that swXtch.

For more information on how these settings assist in obtaining metrics or how they are viewed in the the Topology Graph.

The Flows page is organized into the following functions:

General Navigation for Flows Tab

  8. Enter in one port to configure one destination, but if multiple destinations follow a pattern for example from port 5000 to 5010 then you can put in the range to save time as shown below:

  9. If desired change the latency and recovery buffer.

  10. Advanced settings allows you do to select from other SRT options but typically is not necessary.
