# How to Add and Remove Sources

**WHAT TO EXPECT**

**In this article**, users will learn how to add and delete sources for a groundSwXtch. Once a source is added it will be in the list of destinations, therefore it is a good idea to add sources before adding destinations.

This page is organized into two functions , note that sources cannot be edited.:

### Add Source

To add a source:

1. Select **Add Source** Icon. This button exists on the main map area and is also accessible via the groundSwXtch details pane by left clicking on the groundSwXtch on the map. When doing it via the groundSwXtch then the groundSwXtch drop-down is not visible as it is already selected. Below shows the two options.

2. If started from main map select the groundSwXtch for which the source will come into, note that it is pre-populated via the groundSwXtch details pane.
3. Enter in the source IP.
4. If required enter in the source specific Source IP.
5. If desired, rename the source.
6. Select Add.
7. The source will be added. If it is running and reachable by the groundSwXtch then it will show traffic as shown below:

### Remove Source

To remove a source.

1. Left click on the groundSwXtch the source belongs to. or select the groundSwXtch via the streams tab to open the groundSwXtch details pane.
2. Select the “x” button next to the source.

3. Confirm deletion by selecting Yes, to cancel deletion select No.

4. The source will be deleted.
